ArLiSNAP & The Shifted Librarian

I’m happy to write that ArLiSNAP was included in Jenny Levine (aka The Shifted Librarian)’s presentation this month @ the University at The Hague, Netherlands. Levine’s presentation was on tagging, and she included ArLiSNAP’s in her review.

New Student Affairs Discussion Group Co-Moderator

Rebecca Cooper has been appointed ARLIS/NA Student Affairs Discussion Group Co-Moderator. Since Rebecca was the only candidate, there will not be a Survey Monkey election. The next election will be held in April 2008.

Please join Rebecca, her predecessor Sara Carter, and other ArLiSNAP members at the Student Affairs Discussion Group meeting in Atlanta, followed by a bit of celebration at the pub crawl, on Friday, April 27th.

Congratulations, Rebecca, I look forward to working with you!

Thanks for Linking to ArLiSNAP

I just wanted to give a warm thank you to Art & Museum Library & Information Student Society (Amliss), University of Colorado at Boulder’s Department of Art & Art History, Jessica Fadel, S. Carter, Distillation, and SSBar for hyperlinking to ArLiSNAP.

Thanks also to those of you who have talked or written about ArLiSNAP at regional meetings, on your listservs, and in general conversation.  We appreciate you getting the word out.

ArLiSNAP & ARLIS Ohio Valley

Thank you ARLIS/OV members and guests for allowing me to introduce ArLiSNAP.

Frederick Friedman-Romell, Systems Librarian, and Becky Bristol, Image Manager, spoke with great witt and insight about the trials and triumphs of the Cleveland Museum of Art’s ongoing slide-digitization project.
