As an incoming Co-Moderator, I would love to hear any thoughts or ideas you may have for the future of ArLiSNAP.

Hi everyone!

I am so excited to introduce myself as the new Co-Moderator for ArLiSNAP! I can’t wait to get started volunteering with Chaun and the rest of the leadership network to promote our community and create opportunities for our members.

In 2019, I graduated with a B.A. in Art History from California State University Channel Islands, and just earlier this month, I graduated with an MLIS degree from UCLA with a concentration in Informatics and Digital Humanities. My background includes a range of library spaces, including a public library, federal law library, community-based art library, and academic library. However, I really connected with art librarianship during my work as a Reference Assistant for the UCLA Arts Library. I love the intersection of the arts disciplines, documentation, and resource sharing. I truly hope to continue my work in art libraries for the long haul, and as a new professional, I know one of the best ways to continue connecting with the field is to actively engage with others interested in it too. I figure there’s no better way to do this than volunteering with ArLiSNAP! I am so excited to develop ways for us all to connect and learn from each other.

I look forward to meeting and working with all of you to make this community what we want it to be. Please always feel free to reach out to me via Slack or email. Thank you for welcoming me!
