Hi everyone,

I am excited to be the new Communications Liaison at ArLiSNAP! look forward to being a part of this amazing community of art library students & new professionals.

I am a current MLIS student at Western University in London, Ontario, Canada with an interest in art librarianship. In 2019, I completed a Master of Art History at Western and was engaged by my role as a Research Assistant at the McIntosh Gallery. I wrote several biographies on underrepresented women in the London, Ontario arts community from 1845 to the present. This project required that I conduct research at the local public library, and organize this research for the Curatorial Study Centre at the gallery.

My art history thesis was informed by my experience as a Cultural Heritage Intern at the International Council of Monuments and Historic Sites (ICOMOS) in Tbilisi, Georgia, an NGO on the advisory board for UNESCO. Within the arts and institutions, I am interested in facets community participation. I have a background in arts administration, art promotions and public galleries in Toronto, Ontario. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Ontario College of Art & Design University. I also love music! I love to write songs, learn new instruments (currently the Irish mandolin) and experiment with recording software.

Take care,

Meghan
