Like museums, libraries must consider a variety of factors when selecting exhibits to host or choosing topics to cover in programs: timelines, budgets, restrictions from other funding sources, space availability, and staff capacity. As libraries and museums seek to engage their audiences in new ways and serve as community anchors, it is important to also consider the needs and interests of their many varied audience members.

During this seminar, individuals will learn how they can use front-end research and evaluation methods to gather visitor insights, review date from prior programs and exhibits, and test possible exhibit topics in order to craft a successful, data-driven exhibit line-up.

This webinar was developed by experienced museum exhibit professionals Charity M. Counts and Tricia O’Connor. Charity has over 15 years of experience as an exhibit producer, project manager, and tour agent. Tricia is an award-winning experience developer and content writer with over 18 years in the museum field.
