Hey ArLiSNAPpers – you may have noticed some changes here (new volunteers, job postings, blog content!), and we’re keeping that ball rolling by changing up the role of the Feature Post Writers. Since they’ll now be going by the title Blog Editor, as well as taking on some different duties, we thought it would be a great opportunity to re-introduce them. First up is Sarah Bilotta – and in case you’re curious, here’s Sarah’s old intro.
I started volunteering with ArLiSNAP in 2017 as a Feature Post Writer, covering topics like data visualization, instruction, and research tools in the visual and performing arts. I am currently the cataloger for the Peabody Essex Museum, specializing in special collections and graphic arts cataloging. I am also the inaugural Library Fellow and a curatorial intern for a small museum of Eastern European art and culture. My professional interests include museums, exhibitions, curatorial work, special collections (particularly posters and ephemera), metadata/description, and research/instruction. In my spare time I am a photographer and writer.
