Hey ArLiSNAPpers – you may have noticed some changes here (new volunteers, job postings, blog content!), and we’re keeping that ball rolling by changing up the role of the Feature Post Writers. Since they’ll now be going by the title Blog Editor, as well as taking on some different duties, we thought it would be a great opportunity to re-introduce them. We started by re-introducing Sarah Bilotta, and now here is Courtney Hunt! You can also read Courtney’s old bio.
Hello everyone! I am currently the Art & Design Librarian at The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH, a position I began in January of 2019. I work in the Fine Arts Library in the Wexner Center for the Arts. My M.S.I.S. is from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, and my M.A. is in History of Art & Architecture from Hunter College in NYC. I have been working in libraries since 2013 and used to teach art history to community college students as well.
My current research interests center on women artists from the early twentieth century in Europe, as well as contemporary feminist art and theory. I’m interested in critical librarianship and pedagogy, as well as finding ways we as practitioners can effectively collaborate with our constituents.
I love contributing to the ArLiSNAP blog and hopefully filling your feeds with some things to consider related to art librarianship. ArLiSNAP has provided me a fantastic network of other new professionals to help support my first years on the job!
