Please join me in welcoming our new Conference Planning Liaison, Hilary Wang!
Hello,
I am so excited to become part of the ArLiSNAP community as one of the Conference Liaisons. Over the past two and half years I worked as the Records Coordinator for a Conservation Division at an art museum in Philadelphia. This position was my introduction to the incredible world of library sciences and the potential career paths within art libraries. I am about to begin the MSLIS program at Pratt’s School of Information this fall 2019.
I grew up in the international school circuit in Taiwan and moved to the United States to pursue a BFA in Glass. Since my undergraduate degree, I’ve worked at various museums and cultural institutions along the Eastern seaboard, in positions from a glass blowing demonstrator to a preventative conservation technician. My interests in the information field are a combination of my passion for the arts, libraries, conservation, access, and dissemination. I also maintain a studio practice, currently focused on slip-cast ceramics.
I look forward to working collaboratively to organize events for the ArLiSNAP community!
Cheers,
Hilary
