The Center for Creative Photography (CCP) at the University of Arizona seeks applications from engaged, motivated, and innovative early-career librarians for this one-year temporary position; there is a possibility of renewal for a second year. Reporting to the Senior Archivist and Head of the Volkerding Study Center, the Access Services and Collections Librarian provides reference, collection development, and cataloging services at the Volkerding Study Center. Reference assistance and access are provided to a wide variety of rare and unique materials including archival collections, fine art photographs, rare books and journals, and audio-visual collections for national and international visiting scholars, students, faculty, and other staff members. Collections related projects will improve the stewardship of and access to the CCP Library’s special collections, which support research relating to the CCP’s archival and fine print collections. The incumbent is also responsible for identifying, upholding and communicating the issues surrounding copyright, privacy, and confidentiality of collections at the Center for Creative Photography. To promote the learning goals of the incumbent, the Librarian will be encouraged to participate in local and virtual professional development activities, and financial support will be provided to assist in the attendance of a national-level professional conference.
