Overview:
Provide assistance to the Director of Collections Management. This division of Art Agency Partners is responsible for maintaining detailed and up-to-date records of our clients’ art collections, making shipping arrangements, coordinating installations, and managing conservation, loans, and framing needs.
Responsibilities:
- Artwork cataloguing and database maintenance
- Create and maintain accurate records for works of art
- Liaise with galleries to collect cataloguing information
- Archive and manipulate digital images
- Create inventory reports and collector reports from File Maker (ArtBase)
- Provide administrative support to Director of Collections Management
- Scanning, filing, transcribing
- Monitor and track timelines for shipments, loans, framing, conservation, etc.
- Assist with scheduling of outside vendors
- Assist with collection management needs
- Obtain shipping and crating estimates
- Collect and review condition reports
- Create digital mock-ups
- Assist with special projects
Qualifications:
- Adept at handling sensitive and confidential information in a discreet and professional fashion
- Operate with minimal supervision
- Time management and ability to prioritize
- Ability to both work independently and follow specific instructions
- Strong working knowledge of Excel, Photoshop, ArtBase and
- File Maker preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience working with works of art
- Detail oriented, discreet, diplomatic, dependable, proactive and mature
