Main Responsibilities
Visual Resources the IWM’s imaging service comprising of photography, moving image and scanning services are currently looking to employ a photographer whose main duties will revolve around moving image capture and post production though there will also be some stills photography required.

Skills and Experience required
As a part of the Visual Resources team, the photographer provides a high quality professional imaging service to internal and external markets. The scope of the work will range from high end capture of objects in the studio, to providing new conceptual work to keep the Museum stock images bright, fresh and up to date Events and press calls make up the photographic side of the job. For moving image production it is a requirement that the post holder can deal with the whole range of duties from storyboarding through capture to processing for a variety of outputs.

The role also encompasses working on flatbed scanners to produce images for internal use and external sale from the Museum’s extensive photographic collection.

The photographer is responsible for all post processing of their imagery using the Adobe imaging products or similar software on Apple Mac machines and proactively manages the data they keep for storage on the Museums server structures.

The post holder has a flexible attitude to working patterns as some travelling and out of hours work (including weekends) is required.
