Digital Project Manager – Digital Services

Backstage Library Works has an opening for a Project Manager in the Digitization Department in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Our mission is to provide high quality, cost effective professional services to help librarians serve their constituencies. Applicants must enjoy providing outstanding service to libraries.

The candidate will be responsible for various projects from pricing quotes through final delivery to the client. Management will include on-site projects as well. This is a fast paced job with a lot of responsibility focusing on client contact, interacting face to face with main library contact and their teams, managing staff, along with team’s quality and productivity goals. Traveling several times per year to visit clients for material evaluations, pricing estimates, on-site visits, and attending conferences/seminars is necessary. This position reports to the Digital Product Manager.

Candidate must have an understanding of the digitization core competencies. Knowledge of libraries and/or digitization equipment and technologies is a plus.

Duties and Qualifications:

Proven dependability, attendance and ability to work full-time

Ability and willingness to travel for client visits, conferences, and on-site projects

Need to take responsibility and ownership of the client relationship and to work independently

Ability to allocate technicians and equipment effectively and efficiently

Must have proficient knowledge of digitization and a solid understanding of all of the digital core skills

Exceptional computer skills including navigation of server environment

Problem solving skills

Strong organizational skills

Ability to multitask or willingness to learn

Project Management skills or willingness to learn

Solid communication skills

Supervision experience

Experience in a production environment

Education:
College degree strongly preferred

Salary and Benefits:
Salary begins at $42,000. Benefits include health, dental, vision, profit sharing and retirement program.
