Welcome our new Job Posting Liaison, Jasmine Burns. Jasmine has already been doing a fantastic job adding a large number of job posts to the site!
Hi ArLiSANPers. I just started work as the Image Technologies and Visual Literacy Librarian at the Fine Arts Library at Indiana University (a job that I discovered on the
ArLiSNAP blog!). I hold an MLIS from UW-Milwaukee with a concentration in Archive Studies (2015), and a Master of Arts in Art History from Binghamton University with a certificate in Medieval and Renaissance Studies (2013). I have worked previously as an assistant curator of visual resources, a museum educator, and an archival/digitization assistant. Here at IU, I manage the image collections dedicated to teaching and research in the Fine Arts, provide workshops and instruction in visual and information literacy, and will soon be digitizing our extensive Artist Book collection.
My research interests are focused on the impact of the digitization of cultural heritage objects on research and historical interpretation. I currently serve as Secretary on the Executive Board of the Visual Resources Association, and have been an active ARLIS member for about two years. As a recent graduate, in my first professional position, I am looking forward to using my successful job hunting skills to benefit the larger ArLiSNAP community. Please feel free to reach out to me for any reason!
