Library: Saint Louis University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution dedicated to student learning, research, health care, and service seeks applicants for a full-time (12-month), non-tenure-track appointment as Assistant Librarian in the Knights of Columbus Vatican Film Library, a unit within the Department of Special Collections of the Saint Louis University Libraries. Reporting to the Director of the Vatican Film Library, this position combines both cataloging and public service duties.

Required: Master’s degree from an ALA-accredited library and information science program, Master’s degree in a relevant area of classical, medieval, or Renaissance studies, knowledge of AACR2R, MARC21, LCSH, and genre/form thesauri and experience cataloging using OCLC and an integrated library system, previous experience working with medieval and Renaissance manuscripts and knowledge of scholarly manuscript cataloging conventions, and reading knowledge of Latin and one or more European languages.

Salary is dependent upon qualifications and experience. Appointment is at the level of Assistant Professor.
