Job Title: Evening Supervisor

Description: The Evening Supervisor serves as the person in charge of the library during the evening and some weekend hours. (5-11PM, Monday-Thursday; Sunday 4-10PM) The Evening Supervisor manages student workers, assists with circulation, answers reference questions, and oversees the closing duties at the end of the evening. The Evening Supervisor also manages the periodical collection and provides assistance with the processing of course reserves. The person in this position works during the academic year and some weeks during the summer. Qualifications and Skills Required Undergraduate degree in music. Experience working in an academic library. Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Supervisory skills and demonstrated ability to work independently. Commitment to working evening/weekend schedule. Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Preferred Masterâ€™s degree from an accredited program in library science or current student enrolled in a library science degree program. Experience working in the public services area of libraries. Knowledge of one or more European languages. Knowledge of dance and theater arts.
