The University of St. Thomas is accepting applications for a Visual Resources Curator.

The Visual Resources Curator oversees the development and operation of the digital image collection of the Art History Department, the University’s art collections, and the American Museum of Asmat Art @ UST. These resources are made available to faculty, students, and the public via a Luna server and software for instruction, curriculum support, and research.

Qualifications: M.A. in Library Science, Art History, or a closely related field; 2 years of visual resource management experience.

We are looking for candidate with a knowledge of database design and management, web design, desktop publishing and presentation software; an understanding of Luna software is strongly desirable; familiarity with copyright laws; experience with analog and digital image archival procedures; object and copy photography skills; reading knowledge of at least two
foreign languages highly desirable.
