VRA Pacific Rim Chapter Annual Meeting

September 14, 2007

The local Pacific Rim Chapter of the VRA invites you to attend the Chapter’s Annual Meeting on Friday, September 14th, 2007. The meeting will be held at The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington, co-hosted by Jane Fisher, Chapter Chair, and Denise Hattwig, Secretary.  The Evergreen Library has generously donated a continental breakfast of coffee, tea, pastries, and fruit to welcome everyone to the meeting Friday morning. The business meeting will follow the meet and greet and non-members and guests are welcome to attend.

We will e-mail the registration form and agenda for the annual Meeting to anyone who is interested and we have planned an interesting assortment of presentations and tours. Lunch will be at Olympia’s well known downtown Farmers Market. The afternoon will be taken up by a tour to Washington State’s Digital Archives, which is on the state capitol campus. We will follow up with a break and then a continuation of reports and discussions.

The Pacific Rim Chapter represents VRA members in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Alaska, Hawaii and British Columbia.  If you are not already a member of the Pacific Rim Chapter and would like to take advantage of the opportunity to join before the annual meeting, a membership form is available on the Internet at the Chapter’s website. Benefits to membership in the local chapter include a reduced rate for the annual meeting, voting privileges in the Chapter’s business meeting, and eligibility to apply for the Chapter’s Travel Award for professional development. You may enclose that chapter membership form with your annual meeting registration and pay for the two at once.

We hope you will join us for the Chapter’s Annual Meeting and touch base with your colleagues in the Pacific Rim area!
