Need feedback on a research idea? ACRL's DLS is looking for you

Do you have a research proposal or report that’s not quite ready to send out for publication? Would you like to have it blind peer-reviewed without the trauma, or fear of rejection, involved in submitting it to an editor? The Distance Learning Section (ACRL) is looking for you!

We would like to use your paper for a mock blind peer-review workshop next summer at the ALA Annual Meeting in Washington , DC . You need not attend in order for your paper to be chosen and reviewed.

If you would like the committee to consider using your paper, please email

by Oct. 15, 2006, giving:

(1) the nature of your research project,

(2) its stage of completion, and

(3) its relevance to distance learning librarianship.

You will be contacted by Nov. 15 if the committee would like to consider your paper. If contacted, you will send an electronic copy to the committee by Jan. 8, 2007. The committee will finalize selections and contact you by Feb. 1.

If your paper is used for the workshop, the committee will provide you helpful feedback, including the comments offered during the workshop, to thank you for your willingness to allow us to use your paper.
